What we’ve Learned - How to Increase your Chances of Getting a Request
Hello everyone!
We realize it's been a much slower start than anticipated and how we all would have liked but we've done a lot behind the scenes these past few days to learn how to get you more requests.
One very important thing that we've learned:
Partner delivery requests will not come to Tonquin unless there are Delivery Providers online and located near a possible pickup location.
Here is our estimate of the likelihood you'll get a request based on your distance from a pickup location.
0-3 Miles = Likely
3-6 Miles = Somewhat Likely
6+ Miles = Less Likely
Possible current pickup locations
With that said, here are the possible pickup locations that you can expect to see requests from currently.
You may not have all of these brands near you but if you're within 10-15 miles of a major metro area listed below and one of these is near you, there's a high likelihood that you can get a delivery request from them using Tonquin.
We are currently active in these six cities:
Syracuse, NY
Rochester, NY
Buffalo, NY
Springfield, MA
Hartford, CT
Boston, MA
Soon to be adding:
Atlanta, GA
Fort Myers, FL
Binghamton, NY
But we plan to begin adding new cities quickly as there is a lot of known activity across the country.
We hope to begin on-boarding those Delivery Providers that have been waiting very shortly.
Being online during the day
It's also really important to simply have your app switched to On-Duty.
This is important because Partner Deliveries first check to see if there is a Tonquin Delivery Provider available before sending out the request (then they see how far away you are).
So a request won't even come through if you are not online.
Important: Tonquin does not penalize for Acceptance Rate. Which means there is no harm in having your app online when you're available even if you're multi-apping or just want to see what's available.
Its recommended to be online between the hours of 7am and 7pm every day of the week!
Why do this?
First, hopefully you can see that we are committed to the success of Delivery Providers using Tonquin.
But most importantly, we want to be able to do two things.
Pay you more than other gig platforms
If desired, give you a path towards predictability and or sustainable growth of your delivery business
You may see delivery requests for the Vendors pictured above coming from popular apps like Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash. Well, we are in a position to serve you those same requests but pay you more. IF you do these two things stated above.
Secondly, we want to get you out of the rat race and create a path towards predictable gig delivery (not worrying about over saturation of drivers) and sustainable growth (giving you a big enough piece of the pie where you can actually grow a delivery business beyond just your capacity).
But we'll always also have a path towards starting out and the casual gig driver that doesn't care so much about these things which is totally okay too :)
